Rev. Willie Deuel is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Willie spent 9 years as a counselor in mental health and drug/alcohol rehabilitation before experiencing a call to ordained ministry. He then earned a Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2006 and was ordained Elder in full connection in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the UMC in 2010. He currently serves Altamont First UMC in Altamont, IL.

Willie is a devoted husband to Tiffany (the greatest teacher in the world) and father to three wonderful kids and bonus dad to one. He's also a guitarist, ukulelist, songwriter, rapier wit, raconteur, dilettante, purveyor of derring-do and monkeyshines, mischief-maker, coffee drinker, ne'er do well, and all-around tough customer.

Willie loves the St. Louis Cardinals, the Seattle Seahawks, Howlin' Wolf, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Thomas Merton, Thich Nhat Hanh, Leonard Sweet, sashimi, dry red wine, pho, and Jesus. Not necessarily in that order.
